Hilton Garden Inn Brookline Takes Shape
Glass facade install is nearly complete for the Hilton Garden Inn in Brookline Village. The 11-story building will feature 175 rooms along with a fitness center, restaurant and lounge, and pool. There will also be 70 garage parking spaces on-site along with a ground floor cafe with outdoor seating. Construction is expected to be complete this coming fall.

Demo has wrapped up and early-stage site work is underway for the upcoming 270,000+ square-foot project at 40 Rugg Road in Allston. The development will feature 2 buildings with a total of 265 apartments and 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Resident amenities at 40 Rugg Road will include a top-floor roof deck, lounge, and community gathering spaces and a fitness center.

Wood Framing Ongoing for The Abby in Quincy
Wood framing is quickly rising for the first residential building at The Abby in North Quincy. Work also continues on the 1,314 space parking garage within the project that is set to be complete this coming summer. In total, The Abby will feature 610 luxury apartments and 50,000 square feet of retail space including a Target. Resident amenities will include a fitness center with active group fitness and studio areas, a solarium plus an outdoor pool deck.

The Harvard Mills office facility in Wakefield, MA has been acquired by Taurus Investment Holdings for $34 Million.
Harvard Mills is a Class B office complex located in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Consisting of two connected brick-and-beam style office buildings, it was originally constructed to be a woolen mill in the early 1900s.

Breakwater, the upcoming 331 unit apartment project along the Lynn Waterfront broke ground yesterday, 12/11. Along with the luxury residential units the project includes the development of a harbor walk and linear park along the shoreline. Units will range in size from studios through 3 bedrooms.

The Parkway Apartments Financed for $66.575 Million
The Parkway apartments have been financed via Bank of America for $66.575 million.
The approved residential community will include two hundred fifty-eight apartments in two detached, four-story, wood-frame buildings. The project would also include three hundred eighty-seven parking spaces, indoor pool, resident clubhouse, and ample open space.

Construction Kicks off for 289 Unit Project in Woburn
Construction is now underway for the upcoming mixed-use project at 120 Commerce Way in Woburn. The new building will feature is 289 luxury units along with 9,390 square feet of commercial restaurant and retail space on the ground floor. The site is walking distance from the Anderson Regional Transportation Center (Anderson RTC), which serves Boston’s downtown and other regional destinations via the MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak Downeaster rail lines.

$53M Building Permit Issued for The Parkway Apartments
Two building permits valued at a combined $53M have been pulled for The Parkway Apartments at 1545-1555 VFW Parkway in West Roxbury. The two-building multi-family project was approved in March of this year and will feature a total of 254 units plus parking for 387 cars on-site. Amenities are set to include an indoor pool and resident clubhouse.

Dryft Restaurant Opens at 500 Ocean Ave. in Revere
Dryft is now open as part of the mixed-use project at 500 Ocean Avenue in Revere. The waterfront property features 305 apartments plus ground floor restaurant retail space including the home of Dryft. The 140 seat restaurant will feature a premium raw bar and classic New England seafood selections. Italian-influenced pasta dishes will also compliment the seafood theme. An additional 100 seats are planned for a large outdoor bar area to be added in 2020.

Construction Continues for Squirrelwood Apartments
Construction is ongoing for the Squirrelwood Apartments in Cambridge, just a few blocks from busy Kendall Square. This project includes the renovation of ten existing buildings and construction of two new infill buildings, along with an addition to an existing building. The headquarters of Squirrel Brand Company converted into 20 units of multi-family housing in 2000, is now known as Squirrel Brand Apartments. The building sits on the State Register of Historic Places and will be rehabbed to meet historic preservation standards. This building will remain occupied during construction and will require close coordination for the selective interior renovations planned in addition to the exterior work. Completion is slated for September 2020.
