Developmental Resources, Inc. has provided development, architectural, planning and urban design services for developers, institutions and residential clients since 1978. The early work for the firm involved both rental and condominium housing. The firms work from 1983 to 1991has included large commercial office renovations, historic preservation, health clubs, day care centers, and tenant space planning. From 1991 to 1995, the firm has focused on nonprofit institutional clients for a majority of it's work. Mr. Dennis Rieske AIA was the nonprofit developer, agent and architect for the 82-bed skilled nursing addition and renovation of the existing 24-bed Stone Institute in Newton Upper Falls into assisted-living housing. The Stone Institute was financed through the sale of $6.2 million dollars of tax-exempt MIFA bonds to pay for the new construction and renovations to the existing facility. The Stone Institute has been open for almost 10 years and cares for 106 level care VI and level care II residents. The Stone Institute is a financial success with an operations budget of over $8 million dollars. Dennis C. Rieske is a member of the Stone Institute Board of Directors and is the Assistant Treasurer.

 

Architectural work for developers, innovative design solutions to the renovation of historic buildings, and development experience with nonprofit institutions as well as a background in the fundamentals of real estate analysis provides a prospective client with an architectural firm that offers more than just the standard architectural design experience. Developmental Resources Inc. has provided consulting services to other architects on a project-by-project basis. Mr. Dennis C. Rieske AIA worked as Project Manager with Mr. Tom Green FAIA, Mr. Mac Freeman AIA, Mr. Hank Haff AIA, and BTA Architects, Inc. on the Mercado Abasto, a $70 million dollar retail complex in Buenos Aires, Argentina. DR and BTA Architects, Inc. have collaborated in the design of Mill Village, a retail complex in Sudbury, The Adirondack Club in Franklin and The Gables Club in Salem, plus renovations to a 100 year old manor house in Dedham, MA. Total team approach of the firm includes project fund analysis and construction management.
