Structural framing underway at Broadway Place luxury condominiums, now on sale in South Boston

The concrete base of the Broadway Place luxury condominium and retail building in South Boston is now complete, and the future five-story building’s second floor has been fully framed with prefabricated wood panels. Condominium residences at Broadway Place are now on sale, ranging from $775,000 ($935 per square foot) for an 829-square-foot two-bedroom/two-bathroom to $1.45 million ($887 per square foot) for a 1,634-square-foot three-bedroom/two-bathroom. Residences feature high ceilings and oversized windows, with oak floors and top-of-the-line kitchens. 24 condominium residences and 5,785 square feet of ground-floor retail space will be built at Broadway Place, located steps to the Broadway rapid transit station and a short walk to the Seaport District, the South End and Downtown Boston. Elevator core tops off, foundation construction underway at 150 West Broadway apartments in South Boston

150 West Broadway’s elevator core has topped off at 5 stories tall, and construction of the building’s first floor concrete foundation is underway. Following pouring of the first floor concrete base slab, framing of 150 West Broadway’s upper floors will commence. 150 West Broadway will feature 31 apartment residences and 5,785 square feet of ground-floor retail. Elevator core nears topping off at South Boston’s 150 West Broadway apartments

Foundation excavation is complete at the new 150 West Broadway apartment and retail building in South Boston. The building’s elevator core has nearly reached its full height and is about to top off. Temporary bracing is in place at the foundation wall to support the foundation as 150 West Broadway’s structural frame is constructed. Steel connection plates have been welded in place to the foundation wall embed plates in anticipation of erection of 150 West Broadway’s five stories of structural steel. Demolition complete, construction begins at 150 West Broadway

Demolition of the former auto repair shop and used car lot at 150 West Broadway is complete. Excavation has progressed to the point where foundation work can begin.

A Soilmec drilling rig is being used to install large diameter concrete piles for structural support. Steel H pile material is on the site and will be driven along the building’s foundation for additional support.
