Established in 1985, Khalsa Design, Inc. (KDI) is an award winning design firm specializing in Multifamily Housing, Hospitality and Mixed Use developments. Site & Foundation Work Underway for The Everett Street Residences in East Boston Site and foundation work is underway for the upcoming 19-unit condo project at 10-16 Everett Street in East Boston. The building will feature 6 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom condominiums, most with exterior decks. A ground-floor garage will contain 21 parking spaces and 25 bicycle racks.


Beacon Street Hotel

Plumbing Permit Pulled for Beacon St. Hotel in Somerville A permit has been pulled for the plumbing install at the Beacon Street hotel just outside Porter Square in Somerville. The project will include 35 boutique hotel rooms along with a ground-floor restaurant space. There will also be 29 parking spaces in a below-grade garage.

Everett Apartment Building Refinanced for $44.6 Million Taurus Investment Holdings has refinanced the property at 12 Valley Street in Everett for $44.6 million via KeyBank. The property features a four-story building completed in 2015 featuring 190 1- and 2-bedroom luxury apartment residences. Residences feature state-of-the-art finishes including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and wood and ceramic tile floors. Amenities at Wellington Parkside include a business center, a clubhouse, a fitness center, and a yoga studio.

Somerville Development Site Mortgaged for $21 Million The development site at 845 McGrath Highway in Somverille, MA has been mortaged by KEMS for $21 million via MountainOne Bank. The proposed project will consist of two buildings located at the intersection of Middlesex Avenue and McGrath Highway at the edge of Somerville’s Assembly Row development containing residential, hotel and retail use. A 13-story building would contain a 180-room hotel, and a 21-story building would contain 215 apartment residences.

The proposed project consists of the revitalization and conversion of approximately 1.4 acres of nondescript industrial and residential property into a multi-building, residential development totaling approximately 96,000 square feet.  The project would include the construction of eighteen three-bedroom townhouses, each with its own deck area/open space, garage, and driveway parking; and a mid-rise seventy 70 unit apartment building. 106 on-site parking spaces are included in the Proposed Project, including eighteen tandem spaces in the townhouse units.

The hotel will also include 29 parking spaces in an underground garage along with restaurant space on the ground floor. The Beacon Street hotel will be Hay Creek Hotels second project in the area, they opened the Porter Square Hotel in 2016.
