Not-for-profit Sutter Health has invested billions of dollars to expand access, improve facilities and install the latest patient safety technology and advanced medical equipment. In fact, our network has one of the largest hospital and care center construction, replacement and renovation programs in Northern California.
Since 2000 we’ve invested more than $11 billion to build and improve health care facilities and to purchase advanced patient care technology, including an electronic health record. Of that investment, we committed more than $7 billion to (direct) construction costs, which translates into creating or sustaining nearly 200,000 jobs.
