80 Guest Street spec office building at Boston Landing lands two life science tenants, reaching 40%-leased


Life science companies Proteostasis Therapeutics and Roche Diagnostics Operations have each leased approximately 29,000 square feet at Boston Landing’s newly built 80 Guest Street speculative office development, which is now 40%-leased. Both companies will take occupancy of their spaces during the first half of 2018. Transwestern represented Proteostatis in its’ lease, and Cushman & Wakefield represented Roche. NB Development Group represented themselves in both leases. Proteostatis is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery of groundbreaking therapies to treat cystic fibrosis and other diseases caused by dysfunctional protein processing. Roche specializes in truly differentiated medicines in oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology and diseases of the central nervous system, and is also a leader in vitro diagnostics, tissue-based cancer diagnostics and diabetes management.

80 Guest Street is a 10-story 486,000-square-foot building featuring 230,000 square feet of office and laboratory space space, 12,000 square feet of retail, three levels of parking and the 55,000-square-foot Warrior Ice Arena, home of the official practice facility of the Boston Bruins. Upon completion, the 15.2-acre Boston Landing development will feature three office and laboratory buildings, 80,000 square feet of retail, a 175-key hotel, a 295-unit residential apartment building, Warrior Ice Arena, The Auerbach Center (future basketball practice facility of The Boston Celtics), a track and field sports center, a commuter rail station and 1.4 acres of landscaped open space.
