Revisions proposed to BLDG 89 workforce housing development in Allston
Eden Properties is proposing to revise the BLDG 89 workforce housing development plan in response to official feedback. The proponent has agreed not to market the project to undergraduate students and that no more than one third of apartments will be leased to undergraduates at once. The revised project would feature 129 residential apartments (one less than previously approved) and 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail (as previously approved). 79 vehicle parking spaces would now be constructed on site, up from 69 as previously approved. The building’s sixth floor would be set back 10 feet from Brighton Avenue in response to height concerns. A Notice of Project Change (NPC) for BLDG 89 has been filed with the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) and is now under official review.
