101 Seaport sold to Union Investment for $452 million


An official press release from Skanska confirms the sale of 101 Seaport to Union Investment of Germany. Sale price is $452 million. The Boston Globe notes that the sale represents the highest price per square foot ever recorded for a Boston office tower, at $1,027 per square foot. A deed was recorded for the sale at 9:46 AM this morning in the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds:



Skanska bought the 101 Seaport parcel in 2013 for $33 million. Union Investment also recently bought the Hoffman Building on Lovejoy Wharf for $150 million. More information about 101 Seaport is posted below.
