Exterior shell complete at Northeastern ISEC
The exterior of Northeastern University’s new Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex (ISEC) building is fully sealed with completed roof and window installations, as well as a unique sun screen along the facade. The array of vertical sun screening elements is installed to regulate the amount of sunlight that enters the building.

Construction of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as interior finishes, is underway. The construction team is targeting a fall 2016 opening for the ISEC in time for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Telescoping boom at ISEC
Installation of Dow Styrofoam Square Edge insulation (blue) is underway along the ISEC’s exterior. Square Edge insulation will help waterproof the ISEC’s foundation.

Next steps will include backfilling of earth along the ISEC’s foundation. Hardscaping and landscaping will follow.
