50 & 60 Binney exterior finishes nearing completion


50 & 60 Binney’s glass facade along Binney Street, Edwin H. Land Boulevard and Second Street is nearly complete. Almost all glass panels have been installed along with metal panels. The brick facade along Linskey Way is nearly complete as well. Glass is now being installed along 50 & 60 Binney’s ground-floor retail spaces. Located in Cambridge's Kendall Square, 50 & 60 Binney, topped off since September 2015, will be a 10-story Class A lab and office building with a total of approximately 541,000 rentable square feet (RSF) including approximately 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Tenants at 50 & 60 Binney will include Genzyme Corporation and Bluebird Bio, both of whom will relocate their headquarters to the building. Genzyme Corporation will occupy 251,000 square feet, and Blueburd Bio will occupy 253,000 square feet. The following are photographs of 50 & 60 Binney's facade:

HVAC units are installed on 50 & 60 Binney’s roof, and roughing in of interior mechanical and electrical utility systems has begun. Work will soon commence on interior finishes in anticipation of 50 & 60 Binney’s opening in the first half of 2017. The following are photographs of utility installation underway at 50 & 60 Binney:
