Boston Scientific completes new 694,000-square-foot Global Distribution Center on Quincy waterfront
World-renowned medical devices manufacturer Boston Scientific has completed a new 694,000-square-foot Global Distribution Center on Quincy’s Squantum Point, overlooking Boston Harbor. Built to LEED Gold sustainability standards, the new center is set in a fully renovated warehouse and contains 64,000 square feet of office space and a 630,000-square-foot global customer fulfillment center. Over half of Boston Scientific’s global product manufacturing, including medical device products such as life-saving stents, will move through the new center. The renovated building includes state-of-the-art features such as a new glass curtain wall, 2.5 miles of high-efficiency, “smart technology” conveyor, a waterfront roof terrace with outdoor casual seating and conference spaces offering stunning views of Downtown Boston.
