Common Management Group acquiring long-vacant Hotel Alexandra in South End
Common Management Group of Cambridge, MA, led by Eric Hoagland, will acquire the long-vacant Hotel Alexandra, located at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Street in the South End, and an adjacent vacant lot. The five-story, 27,367-square-foot vacant building, originally home to a luxurious hotel, stands on a 5,167-square-foot lot adjacent to the 2,858-square-foot vacant parcel, amounting to an 8,025-square-foot development site. The property’s seller is The Church of Scientology, who had planned to develop a new headquarters there. Common Management Group’s deal is expected to close within the next year; Hoagland confirmed that the company has signed an agreement to acquire the property.
