Demo Begins for 233 Hancock Street in Dorchester
With financing secured late last month, the project at 233 Hancock Street in Dorchester is underway. Galway Excavation has started demolition of the auto repair shop on the site to make way for the new 36,000 square foot mixed-use building. The project, being built by Haycon for ARX Urban, will feature 36 apartments, 700 square feet of retail, and a 400 square foot community art gallery. 21 of the units will be designated affordable. There will also be parking for 22 cars in a street-level garage and a common roof deck for residents.
