Developer acquires vacant Leather District property for $6 million


Two long-vacant interconnected buildings totaling 6,851 square feet standing on 0.11 acres of land ripe for development have sold to a developer for $6 million. The sale of the buildings, located at 146-160 Kneeland Street, amounts to $876 per square foot, or $54,545,455 per acre. The buildings' buyer, Hudson Group North America, built the nearby 26-story Radian apartment tower in Chinatown. 146-160 Kneeland Street is located steps from South Station, as well as the recently completed 21-story One Greenway apartment tower, which sold for $144.5 million, nearly $666,000 per apartment, in November 2017.
