Facade Install Complete for The Whitney: Blends New Construction with Historic Building
The brick facade for the new construction 12,000 square foot addition to The Whitney is in place, mirroring the brick on the historic John Jeffries house that is being renovated as part of the development project. In total, the new boutique hotel will feature 65 guest rooms, include 4 suites. A new restaurant created by the award-winning team of Joshua Lewin and Katrina Jazayeri will be housed on the first floor of the building.
The project, named for Henry Melville Whitney—an American Industrialist and founder of the West End Railway Company, blends in well with the surrounding Beacon Hill neighborhood. The Whitney expects to welcome guests on July 1st, 2019.
