Ground lease secured for Newtonville mixed-use development breaking ground Spring 2018
Dinosaur Capital Partners and Oaktree Development have secured a 99-year ground lease for the City of Newton-owned surface parking lot at 28 Austin Street in Newtonville, which the developers will transform into a mixed-use development breaking ground Spring 2018. The 28 Austin Street development will feature 68 apartment residences, including 23 (34%) affordable, with 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail including an innovation center. The development will also restore existing public parking and create new public space. Construction completion of the 28 Austin Street development is expected in Summer 2019.
