New Boston Ventures Proposes Mixed-Use Project at 566 Columbus Ave.

New Boston Ventures has filed a project notification form for the development of a mixed-use project at the corner of Columbus & Mass. Avenue. The new 6-story, 66 unit residential building would replace the existing Harriett Tubman House on the site. The U- shaped building would feature a community-oriented ground floor with approximately 5,000 square feet of commercial space, including a social enterprise café with outdoor seating, an art exhibit gallery open to the public, and new, improved and modern community space for USES. The first two floors of the building would contain 11 affordable artist live/work spaces with 55 residential units  a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homeownership units on the upper floors. A below-grade garage would include parking for 42 cars. 

The sale of the site will support United South End Settlements revitalization of the 48 Rutland Street Campus.
