Site excavation underway at The Shoppes at Simonds Park in Burlington, prime retail space now leasing


With the former Building 19 ½ department store now demolished, Duffy Properties has begun site excavation to prepare the 7-acre future site of The Shoppes at Simonds Park, a 98,000-square-foot mixed-use development located in the heart of Burlington, for construction of the foundations of three new buildings. The private underground parking garage of The Residences at Simonds Park, a 48,000-square-foot building which will feature 29 distinguished one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences, is now being excavated, and the first concrete foundation elements have been installed along the building’s future perimeter. Soil is now being removed from the remainder of the site in order to prepare for construction of the foundations of The Shoppes at Simonds Park’s two retail buildings, which will total 50,000 square feet, and a large surface parking lot at the site’s center.

The Shoppes at Simonds Park site is ideally positioned across from Burlington’s walkable Town Common, a short drive to Route 3, Interstate 95/128 and Burlington’s multiple office properties. MBTA bus service is also available at the property’s doorstep. The Shoppes at Simonds Park will open in Winter 2018, and The Residences at Simonds Park will open in Summer 2018.
