With Updated Plans, Developer to Pursue Permits this Fall
Six years after the closure of the old Harvard Loews theater, the developer, Kirche LLC, has announced it will begin to move forward with the permitting process this September. There are however some changes to the plans. The building will now be only four floors instead of five, with three retail spaces (originally four. The movie theater will be cut down to 250 seats (originally 300). The theater entrance was also adjusted in these updated plans and will now be a wall of glass over 2 floors with a large marquee. Construction is expected to take 18-24 months once the permits are approved.
