WS unveils 88 Seaport Boulevard, latest Seaport District mixed-use development

WS Development has unveiled 88 Seaport Boulevard, an 18-story office and retail development that would bring graceful cascading design to the Seaport District. Designed by Dutch architect OMA, 88 Seaport Boulevard would be anchored by 425,000 square feet of Class A office space, with 60,000 square feet of retail across the first two floors as well as a 5,000-square-foot civic or cultural space. 88 Seaport Boulevard is OMA’s first project in Boston and would replace the former Our Lady of Good Voyage Chapel following the opening of the Chapel's new building at 51 Seaport Boulevard in April. Construction of 88 Seaport Boulevard is expected to commence in 2018, with expected completion in 2020. Plans for 88 Seaport Boulevard have not yet been filed with the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA).

88 Seaport Boulevard features breakthrough design, with a multifaceted facade that aims to draw visitors towards the waterfront. "We are committed to bringing world-class architecture to Boston's Seaport – architecture that will stand the test of time. Together with the brilliant team at OMA, we will create a unique urban environment that advances Boston's innovation economy and celebrates great urban design," said Yanni Tsipis, Senior Vice President of Seaport at WS Development.
