About 40 Mount Hood Road
Proposed five-to-seven-story, 163,000-square-foot residential development featuring 178 residences, including 64 apartments and 114 condominiums. Residences would include studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms. Nine two-story, ground-level townhouse condominiums would be constructed along Egremont Road. 13% of residences would be designated affordable.
Resident amenities at 40 Mount Hood Road would include an outdoor courtyard with a pool, a patio, green space and grills, and active spaces such as lounges and fitness facilities. The building’s ground floor podium would enclose approximately 142 parking spaces, including 114 dedicated to condominiums and 28 dedicated to apartments.
The proposed development would replace an existing motel, and would be built to LEED Silver sustainability specifications. The development site is located steps from the MBTA Green Line’s B Branch, with direct service to Downtown Boston. Construction of 40 Mount Hood Road is expected to commence in Spring 2019 and last approximately 24 months.
