The roof of the building houses the Coit Observatory, used for both undergraduate and graduate classes, public open nights, and observation projects by the Boston University Astronomical Society. At the base of the building, an Einstein Bros Bagels has retail space. Renovations to the building have been made by South Coast Improvement.

677 Beacon Street in Boston is home to Boston University’s Center for Computational Neuroscience and Neural Technology. The building was recently renovated by South Coast Improvement Company, who added new administrative offices, electrical lighting packages, HVAC service, wall assemblies, and paint finishes, demolished an existing suite of offices, framed a new office layout, reworked the sprinkler lines, and installed new flooring and custom millwork workstations.
