About South Bay Town Center

720,000 square foot mixed-use development project opening in 2018 that will transform a 10-acre section of the existing South Bay Center shopping mall in Dorchester. The project will include approximately 475 residential units, 120,000 square feet of retail space, a 60,000 square foot cinema and a 130-room hotel. A total of five new buildings will be built. South Bay Town Center will be pedestrian-oriented, with active ground-floor uses and open spaces. Three parking garages will be built along with a surface lot and street parking for a total of approximately 1,095 parking spaces. The following are renderings of South Bay Town Center:
