Interior Finishing Underway for Tempo at Alewife
Interior finishing, including work on the building's own bowling alley, is progressing for Tempo at Alewife Station. The two-building project which features 320 apartments replaces Lanes & Games, just steps from Alewife Station. Along with the bowling alley, residents will have access to a fitness center, yoga studio, community room, and pool. Tempo expects to welcome residents in mid to late December.

NPC Filed for 1199-1203 Blue Hill Ave. Project
Originally approved in September 2017, the developers behind this Mattapan project have now filed a notice of project change for the 1199-1203 Blue Hill Avenue project. Originally approved as 21 condos, new plans call for 32 rental units within the city's new Compact Living Guidelines. The project change also calls for the elimination of the parking garage, the project would instead have 11 surface parking spaces. Finally, the commercial space would be reduced from 3,000 square feet of retail plus 2,800 of restaurant to only a 2,500 square foot cafe or restaurant space.

Construction Continues for 300+ Unit Project at Alewife Station
Construction is ongoing with siding install well underway up for the first building in the project and windows and sheathing going up for the second. The Residences at Alewife will feature 320 apartments in total, ranging in size from studios through 3 bedrooms. Amenities on-site will include a fitness center, pool, and theater room. The project located next to Alewife Station will also include a 243 car parking garage with space for over 350 bikes.

Framing and Exterior Work Ongoing for The Residences at Alewife Station
The two new buildings for The Residences at Alewife station along the Concord Turnpike in Cambridge are taking shape with siding install ongoing for the first half of the project and wood framing going up next door. These buildings will feature 320 apartments just steps from the Redline. Units will be a mix of studios and 1, 2 and 3-bedrooms with resident amenities set to include a fitness center, pool, yoga studio, and theater room. The development will also have 243 vehicle parking spaces and 336 long-term bike parking spaces.

Burlington Hotel Mortgaged for $27 MillionThe Archer Hotel in Burlington has been refinanced by LodeWorks for $27 million via Equity Bank.Prominently located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington, the Archer Hotel features 147 keys and guest amenities including a restaurant, conference rooms, a health club, a swimming pool and 147 on-site parking spaces.

BPDA approves 1199-1203 Blue Hill Avenue, 21 new condominiums in Mattapan
The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) approved 1199-1203 Blue Hill Avenue, a new four-story mixed-use building featuring 21 condominium residences, 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 55-seat, 2,800 square foot ground floor restaurant, at last night’s board meeting. Three residences at 1199-1203 Blue Hill Avenue will be designated affordable. Construction of the building is anticipated to commence in Spring 2018, with completion expected in Spring 2019.

21 residences with ground-floor restaurant and retail proposed on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan
Developer George Minasidis proposes to construct a new $12 million mixed-use building at 1199-1203 Blue Hill Avenue, along Mattapan’s central commercial corridor. The building would contain 21 new residences with 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 55-seat, 2,800 square foot restaurant. Construction of the building is anticipated to commence in the 2nd quarter of 2018, with expected completion in the 2nd quarter of 2019. The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) is now reviewing the plans for this project.

320 apartments approved at site of West Cambridge bowling alley and motelThe City of Cambridge's Planning Board has approved The Residences at Alewife Station, a 320-unit apartment development that will replace the Lanes and Games bowling alley and Cambridge Gateway Inn motel along Route 2 in West Cambridge. Lanes and Games will remain open through this summer, after which construction of the development is anticipated to commence.

Hanover Alewife luxury apartments near opening
Hanover Alewife is just about complete as the 213-residence luxury apartment community prepares for its' opening this Spring. The building's interior and exterior are both nearly finished, and landscaping work is underway. Hard hat tours of Hanover Alewife are now being offered, and leasing of apartments has begun. LodgeWorks acquires site of future Archer Hotel at 3rd Avenue in Burlington for $4 millionThe future Archer Hotel at 3rd Avenue in Burlington took a step forward last Wednesday with developer LodgeWorks' acquisition of the hotel's 2.75-acre future site for $4 million as recorded in the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. Prominently located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington, the Archer Hotel will feature 147 keys and guest amenities including a restaurant, conference rooms, a health club, a swimming pool and 147 on-site parking spaces. Construction has begun on the hotel, replacing a recently-demolished R&D building. The Burlington Planning Board approved the Archer Hotel for construction in December 2015. The Archer Hotel site's seller is Nordblom Company, proponent of the 3rd Avenue development project in Burlington. The hotel will be located along walkable 3rd Avenue steps to multiple restaurants and shops in addition to a Wegman's supermarket. The hotel will be LodgeWorks' fourth Archer Hotel. LodgeWorks recently launched the Archer Hotel boutique hotel brand as a boutique arm with an emphasis upon luxury and personal service.
