Established in 1992 by a team led by Sister Mary Alice Murphy, CARE Housing develops and manages affordable housing communities that provide supportive services to strengthen and empower families, and to build community. Since that time, CARE has grown in the Fort Collins community with a mission to advocate for and provide affordable housing to low-income families and individuals. CARE is a unique partnership of public, private and faith based sponsorship with expertise in housing finance, development, property management, and social service. Through these collaborative partnerships, CARE has successfully developed six affordable housing communities in Fort Collins and one in Windsor. CARE is dedicated to providing our residents with quality affordable housing. Each development has been uniquely designed to be incorporated into their surrounding neighborhood and serves as a model for affordable housing. For over 25 years, CARE Housing has been recognized as a leader and provider of quality affordable housing for working Northern Colorado families with dependents, senior citizens and persons with disabilities that earn between 30% and 60% of the Area's Median Income. CARE's communities are designed for working families - CARE offers two and three bedroom options and six of our communities have community rooms for events and services.
