Cambria Hotel South Boston Now Open South Boston’s newest hotel, The Cambria, is now open. This upscale hotel features 159 guest rooms inspired by the South Boston neighborhood, the local art scene, and the natural beauty of New England. The hotel offers an array of amenities including a 2,400 square foot gym with Gronk Fitness equipment, 4,000 square feet of meeting space, plus a ground floor restaurant and rooftop lounge, Six \ West. On the ground floor, connected to the neighboring luxury condo building 14 West, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Up above, the Rooftop at Six \ West spans 4,000 square feet and features a dramatic, overhanging wood canopy to cover up to 240 guests enjoying the unique-in-Southie spot for dining, drinking, and lounging during the warm summer months. 232OC: Location, Location, Location Location, location, location, repetitive obviously but of paramount importance nonetheless and South Boston certainly checks all three location boxes. While South Boston has been one of the busiest neighborhoods for development in the city, there are still a few pockets that have yet to be saturated with new projects. The Dorchester Ave. corridor, 144 acres between Andrew Square and Broadway Station is one such location. Several boutique projects including 232 OC have been completed in this area, but the upcoming Washington Village is set to really transform the face of this corner of Southie.
