Boston's first Yotel in the Seaport District features 326 "cabins," approximately 180 square foot rooms positioned as an affordable option for business travelers. All cabins feature signature Yotel adjustable SmartBeds with luxury bedding, rejuvenating monsoon rain showers, relaxing adjustable mood lighting, many power connectivity ports and smart TVs connectable to guests' mobile devices. Construction is complete at the new Yotel Boston hotel in the Seaport District, which will open this Thursday, June 22nd with a host of new nightlife options. Yotel Boston features 326 rooms targeted towards business travelers, in addition to a year-round, indoor-outdoor Sky Lounge rooftop terrace and bar with sweeping skyline views and a ground-floor Club Lounge with co-working, meeting and dining space. Anonymous investor acquires 45% stake in Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ Seaport District campus for $261 million
An anonymous financial investor has paid $261 million to acquire a 45% equity stake in Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ 1.1 million square foot, two-building Seaport District global headquarters campus. Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH), who acquired the campus for $1.1 billion in May 2014, retains a 55% majority stake in the campus and will continue to manage the property. The anonymous investor’s $261 million investment is based on the campus’ present valuation of $1.2 billion, with under $620 million of existing secured debt on the property.SNH closed last July on a new 10-year, $620 million mortgage on the campus provided by Morgan Stanley and Citi Bank with a fixed interest rate of 3.53%; the loan will mature in August 2026. “This transaction highlights the increased value of these two well-located, well-leased buildings since we acquired them less than three years ago,” said SNH President & COO David Hegarty in a statement. “This transaction also reduces our investment portfolio’s concentration in this property and reduces our overall leverage.”

Seaport District's Yotel Boston set to open August 1st, new details and renderings revealed
The brand-new Yotel Boston hotel in the heart of the Seaport District is now taking room reservations beginning August 1st ahead of the hotel's anticipated summer opening. Additionally, the Yotel Boston team has announced that "craft cocktails, local beer [and] fabulous wines" will be served at the hotel's 12th floor Sky Lounge and Rooftop Terrace, which will be open year round to both guests and the public. "Rooftop wellness classes, live music and arts collaborations" will also be offered on the 12th floor. New renderings of Yotel Boston's interior amenities have been revealed; these renderings are posted above.

Oak + Rowan, a new pasta, seafood, and meat restaurant, has opened on the ground floor of the recently completed 319 A Street luxury condominium building in Fort Point. Yotel Boston exterior finishing underway, rooftop bar coming
Exterior finishes, which include bricks and metal panels, have been installed along a large section of Yotel Boston’s facade fronting Seaport Boulevard. Windows have been fully installed, including a distinctive vertical curtain wall at the building’s center. Fireproofing and moisture-resistant cladding are installed throughout Yotel Boston’s facade. 319 A Street closings underway, one unit left for sale
Sales of 37 of 319 A Street’s 48 luxury condominiums have closed to date. 47 condominiums (98% of total) are sold or under agreement, with one studio condominium remaining for sale. Units at 319 A Street to date have closed for an average of $1,200 per square foot. Closing prices range from $499,000 for a 456 square foot studio to $2.787 million for a 2,099 square foot three-bedroom/three-bathroom unit, with a median closing price of $595,000 for a 572 square foot studio. At least two sold units represent the combination of multiple units; 319 A Street was originally planned to contain studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
At least 15 units at 319 A Street have been listed for rent by their new owners per Zillow, with rents ranging from $2,400/month for a 470 square foot studio to $3,890/month for a 1,058 square foot two-bedroom/two-bathroom unit. 319 A Street’s ground-floor restaurant, Oak + Rowan, is expected to open this month per Eater Boston.
