The project will include the removal and infill of the existing automobile elevator and construction of white box office space and fitness room. New windows and a skylight will also be added. The 41,000+ square foot office/retail building was purchased by Gazit Globe for $51 million this past January.

Marketplace Center trades for $81.8 Million Gazit Globe has acquired the retail property at 200 State Street in Boston for $81.8 million. Marketplace Center is a 62,000 square foot retail and office building that sits directly across the street from the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The building is located next to the popular tourist destination, Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Currently, the building is fully leased to Banana Republic, LOFT, American Eagle, and additional office tenants.

Newbury Street Properties Acquired for $51 Million Gazit Globe has acquired the properties at 341-343 Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay for $51 million. 341 Newbury Street is a 41,958 square foot prime office/retail building on one of the busiest blocks of Boston' s renowned Back Bay. This location is surrounded by contemporary retailers like Madewell, Brandy Melville, Patagonia, The North Face, Lululemon, and the new Uniqlo flagship store. 343 Newbury Street is the adjacent building totaling 17,982 square feet of space spread over 3 stories. The retail building was constructed in 1919 and is currently home to fashion brand Forever 21.

Downtown Crossing Retail Property Acquired By Gazit GlobeA Miami-based developer, Gazit Globe, has acquired the property at 467 Washington St in Boston's Downtown Crossing neighborhood for $16.6 million. The developer also owns a nearby property, 35-41 Winter Street.No immediate plans have been released for the property, a 2-story, 2-unit retail property that was built in 1899 and last updated in 2013. The 6,591 square-foot building sits on a .09-acre parcel and was the former flagship of Liberty Travel.

Eight-story Downtown Crossing office building sold for $24.8 million 35-41 Winter Street, an eight-story, 26,072-square-foot Class B office building located in the heart of Downtown Crossing, has sold for $24.8 million, over twice its’ $12 million sale price in January 2016. The building sold for about $951 per square foot, in comparison to about $460 per square foot in 2016.Downtown Crossing has undergone significant change over the past two years, signified by the opening of the 60-story Millennium Tower. Recently, a repositioned 25,000-square-foot Class B office building located at 93 Summer Street, steps from 35-41 Winter Street, sold for $19 million and $760 per square foot, nearly four times its’ June 2015 sale price.35-41 Winter Street’s seller is Frazer 41 Holdings LP of Ireland, and the building’s buyer is Gazit Horizons of New York. The building features Sprint and Jewelry Square retail stores on its’ ground floor and upper floor tenants including thoughtbot, Flight Center and Novopyxis.

Ground-floor retail conversion complete at Newbury Street's Danker & Donohue Garage A new 10,000 square foot Uniqlo clothing store, the Japanese retailer's second Boston location, has opened on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Danker & Donohue Garage, marking the completion of the Newbury Street structure's former garage entrance into prime retail space.
