Gabbay Architects was established in 1987 by Yassi Gabbay, in the city of Beverly Hills. Yassi’s brother Hamid Gabbay joined the firm the following year because of rapid client growth. The brothers are both graduates from prestigious architectural universities in Europe. Yassi obtained a Ph.D. from Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. Hamid obtained his PhD from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, Italy. Gabbay Architects grew to one of the most prominent firms in Beverly Hills because of their inviting and human-centered designs as well as their deep, personal relationships with their clients. Their focus in Southern California has won them numerous awards including three from the Architectural Commission of the City of Beverly Hills in 1993, 1995 and 2009.
