Performance Building Company, Inc (PBC) was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1993 by Joseph Consalvo. We began as a small general contracting firm with a cabinetry shop, located in Hyde Park, MA.

In 1995, Joseph Consalvo and James McClutchy joined forces and won the bid to rehabilitate the old 10 story Boston Registry of Motor Vehicles building. The purpose of the rehabilitation was for the RMV to move back into the building. The project was a fast track project, completed within 3 months.

It was at this point that James McClutchy became an owner of PBC. We have grown since our modest beginnings and our headquarters is located at 11 Alpha Road, Chelmsford MA 01824. An office in Boston, where we continue to have a cabinetry shop that has evolved into a high quality cabinetry production facility. We have been involved in many market niches with it primary focus being a commercial general contractor while dabbling in high end residential rehabilitation in downtown Boston.

The commercial work encompasses restaurants, offices, warehouses, and factories from Manchester, NH to Cape Cod.

We are exceptionally proud of our workmanship and our ability to complete projects within short lead times. Another aspect of our in-depth experience and knowledge allows PBC to complete projects consisting of complex construction techniques. The main office in Lowell, MA is technologically advanced. All of our office employees have excellent computer skills and they use their skills every day to the betterment of the company in the areas of accounting, construction control, project management, and cost estmating. Using the most innovative industry standards and technologies, we anticipate client and project needs beyond stated scope protecting our clients’ investments.
