Interior Finishing Nearly Complete for The Harvey
Interior finishing is wrapping up for Charlestown's newest luxury residential project, The Harvey. The 177 unit project is expected to welcome first residents in mid-August. Units at The Harvey range in size from studios at 475 square feet starting at $2215 per month up to 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes featuring over 1,000 square feet of living space renting for over $4,000 per month. Resident amenities include an outdoor courtyard with city views, a fitness/yoga studio, a social lounge, and a dog wash station. The Harvey is targeting LEED Platinum-certifiable.

Tower Crane in Place for Garden Garage
A tower crane is now in place at the Garden Garage site as blasting continues for ledge removal and concrete footings are being put in place. The Equity Residential project is set to feature 469 residential units in the 44 story tower. Under the tower will be a new parking garage to hold around 830 spaces. Construction is set to run through late 2021.

Facade Install Nearly Complete for 249 Third St. in Kendall Square
Facade install is nearly complete for the new 5-story apartment building at 249 Third Street in Kendall Square. The project will include 84 apartments and 1,540 square feet of ground-floor retail. Apartments will range from studios to three-bedrooms including 28 studios, 46 one bedrooms, 8 two-bedrooms, and 2 three-bedrooms. Resident amenities will include a private roof deck and landscaped courtyard. Construction is expected to be complete later this summer.

Crews Prep Garden Garage Site for Ledge Removal
Crews continue work on the install of temporary bracing and soil removal at the site of the former Garden Garage. Ledge removal is expected to start within the coming days. The upcoming 44-story tower is set to include 469 apartments along with 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail The development will also include around 20,000 square feet of common resident amenities and an underground parking garage to hold 830 cars. Construction is expected to wrap up in the 4th quarter of 2021.

Facade Install is Underway for The Harvey (and Parts of it are Yellow)
Facade install has begun for The Harvey along Rutherford Avenue in the Hood Business Park in Charlestown. The building will be clad in terra-cotta colored rainscreen panels, including a sunny yellow on the interior courtyard facing section of the facade. Architects, CBT designed the building to both emulate the scale and proportion of the existing industrial structures along Rutherford Avenue while serving as a bold and inviting gateway to the revitalized Hood Business Park.
The six-story, 177-unit residential building will also feature 10,500 square feet of retail space and parking for 90 cars and 172 bicycles. Construction is expected to be complete later this year.

Window Install and Exterior Work Ongoing for The Harvey in Sullivan Square
Window installation and exterior work are ongoing for The Harvey along Rutherford Ave. just outside Sullivan Square in Charlestown. This upcoming 177 unit apartment building will also include over 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 90 cars and 172 bikes. The Harvey is named for Harvey Perly Hood, founder of the H.P. Hood Dairy. This project and several others including 100 Hood Park Drive sit on the site of the former Hood Plant.

Work Underway for Slurry Wall at Garden Garage
With the remnants of the old garage out of the way, work is underway to install the 53-panel slurry wall for the upcoming 44-story tower on the site. The new building is set to house 469 apartments along with 20,000 square feet of resident amenities and 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail. Framing Reaches Full Height at 249 Third Street
Framing has reached full height for this new five-story mixed-use project Callahan Construction Managers is building in Kendall Square. 249 Third Street will feature 84 residential units along with just over 1,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Residents will have access to a fitness center, clubroom, private roof deck, and a landscaped courtyard.
Callahan is on track to complete the 91,682 square foot project in late August 2019.

Plumbing Permit Issued for Upcoming High Rise
A plumbing permit has been issued for the Garden Garage development, including the installation of plumbing fixtures, plumbing equipment, and all associated piping throughout the P5 Garage Level through the 47th floor (roof).
The development will consist of the replacement of existing 650-space parking garage with a 469-unit residential apartment tower. The tower will include approximately 20,000 square feet of common resident amenities and approximately 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
