With more than 100 years of combined experience in the design, engineering and construction industries, Holland Development and M. Holland & Sons Construction, Inc., a 40-year-old family-owned-and-managed general construction company and its resident design and engineering professionals. Fire Alarm Permit Pulled for The Cara Boston A permit for fire alarm install has been pulled for the 57 unit apartment building, The Cara Boston. The building which sits on the Roxbury/Dorchester line, near the Newmarket MBTA station and the South Bay Center will feature  27 studios, 18 one-bedrooms, and 12 two-bedrooms along with a resident clubroom and fitness center.

Interior Finishing Ongoing for The Cara Apartments Interior finish work is ongoing for the Cara Apartments Boston along Shetland Street in Roxbury. The building will include 57 apartments, 27 studios, 18 one-beds, and 12 two-beds. Along with garage parking for 52 cars, residents will also have access to a club room, fitness center, and common roof deck.

Construction Ongoing for The Factory at 46 Wareham in The South End Construction is ongoing for The Holland Companies new commercial and residential building, The Factory at 46 Wareham. Recent work on the project includes installation of ACM panels (aluminum composite material) over an oversized cavity to hide the bathroom and kitchen sidewall exhaust vents. When complete The Factory will include 18 luxury condos along with 32,875 square feet of office space.

Residents will also have access to a club room,  fitness center, a 5,000-square-foot landscaped interior courtyard and a spacious common roof deck.

Construction Continues at 13 Shetland Street Window install is ongoing along with exterior work for 13 Shetland Street on the Roxbury/Dorchester border. The project will include 57 rentals, a mix of 27 studios, 18 one bedrooms, and 12 two bedrooms. The apartments are a short walk away from the New Market T Stop and the Southbay Shopping Center and the building will feature a large roof deck that will have a great view of the Boston skyline.

Interior Finishing Wrapping up For Penthouse Units at The Jordan Lofts The redevelopment of the Jordan Lofts in the South End is in its final phase with interior finishing wrapping up for the penthouse units. The Holland Companies tells BLDUP Penthouse A should be complete for May 1st with Penthouse B, already sold, completed earlier this month. The historic building along Harrison Avenue was first constructed by Jordan Marsh and Company in 1910 to satisfy the company's transportation requirements as an industrial stable, taking care of the many horses utilized in carrying products to and from its stores. The new luxury residential units offer amenities such as on-site garage parking, concierge service, and exterior balconies.

Window Install Complete for The Factory at 46 Wareham Install of black frame windows, that support the project's high-end design, is complete at The Factory at 46 Wareham in the South End. The project's developer, The Holland Companies, tells BLDUP construction is in its middle phase.  The Factory at 46 Wareham will restore the facade of an existing historic industrial building and construct a new addition to create 18 luxury condos and around 32,000 square feet of office space.

Framing Nearing Completion at 13 Shetland St. in Roxbury Framing is nearly complete for the 4-story residential building at 13 Shetland Street in Roxbury. The project, just around the corner from the South Bay Center will feature 57 apartments. Units will range in size from studios to two bedrooms. The ground floor parking garage will contain 52 parking spaces along with bike storage.

Exterior Work Progressing at The Factory at 46 Wareham Exterior work is fast progressing for The Factory at 46 Wareham in Boston's South End.  The project will feature 18 condominium units along with over 30,000 sf of office space.  The developer, The Holland Companies originally planned to restore a portion of the factory that had been on the site however they were forced to demolish that building as there were structural problems.
