Site Mobilization Permit Pulled for Charlestown Project A permit has been pulled for site mobilization for the 6 Stack Street project within Hood Park. Initial work will include site clearing prep for foundation piles along with the setup of construction trailer and fencing. 6 Stack Street will feature around 4,000 square feet of space to include bike storage, retail, and amenity space.

Draper Elevator Interiors completes Uniquely designed Elevator Cabs at the Moxy Hotel Draper Elevator Interiors collaborated with Group One Partners to design, fabricate and install four highly custom elevator cabs at the Moxy Hotel in Boston's theater district. The hotel boasts a fun industrial-chic decor throughout the building, the elevator cabs are no exception. Custom back-lit blackened stainless steel bumper rails highlight antique mirror glass rear wall panels. Each elevator has its own unique image which can be seen peering through a 3D keyhole slot, creating a "backstage" theme.

Peebles Corp Files LOI for 432K SF Project on Parcel 13 The Peebles Corporation has filed a Letter of Intent for a 432,000 square foot mixed-use project on Air Rights Parcel 13 in Back Bay. The Parcel 13 site is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street, partially over the east and westbound lanes of the Mass. Pike and the MBTA Green Line Hynes Station. The proposed project would include a full-service luxury hotel with associated amenity space along with a condo component and first floor retail. As part of the project new MBTA headhouse access for Hynes Station at Boylston Street would be added along with improved access at Mass. Ave. and other public realm improvements.


100 Hood Park Drive

100 Hood Park Drive Taking Shape The new garage/retail space within the Hood Park Development in Charlestown is taking shape with exterior work nearly complete for the front half of the project. The building will offer parking for over 900 cars plus 50,000 square feet of lab and 24,000 square feet of retail space. The garage will also include a solar array on the rooftop and will be equipped with electric vehicle charging stations in 50 of the parking spaces.

6 Stack St. Approved by the BPDA 6 Stack Street within the Hood Park Master Plan has been approved by the Boston Planning Board. The one-story, approximately 3,912 square foot building will contain bicycle storage, retail, and amenity space.

CO Issued for Moxy Hotel A certificate of occupancy has been issued for The Moxy Hotel with first guests expected in early October. The 24-story tower features 346 "micro" guest rooms, each room at the measuring in at around 175 square feet. Amenities at the Moxy include a rooftop bar and lounge as well as meeting rooms, a kitchen and dining area and a fitness center.

CO Issued for The Harvey in Charlestown A certificate of occupancy has been issued for The Harvey in Charlestown. The luxury apartment project features 177 rental units along with over 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, just steps from Sullivan Square. Resident amenities include an outdoor courtyard with city views, a fitness/yoga studio, a social lounge, and a dog wash station.

Fire Alarm Permit Issued for Moxy Hotel With expected opening just around the corner, the permit for the fire alarm system at the Moxy Hotel in Downtown has been pulled. The $800K permit covers the install of alarms throughout the 346 guest rooms and the amenity spaces within the 24-story tower.

Construction Nearly Complete for The Moxy Hotel: Opening Next Month Signage is in place and the new two-story digital banner is also up at the corner of Stuart and Tremont Streets for The Moxy Hotel, set to open in August.  The 24-story hotel will feature 340 "micro" guest rooms, each approximately 175 square feet in size outfitted with the latest technology and modern furniture. The hotel also includes a rooftop bar and 2,000 square feet of meeting/event space.

Interior Finishing Nearly Complete for The Harvey Interior finishing is wrapping up for Charlestown's newest luxury residential project, The Harvey. The 177 unit project is expected to welcome first residents in mid-August. Units at The Harvey range in size from studios at 475 square feet starting at $2215 per month up to 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes featuring over 1,000 square feet of living space renting for over $4,000 per month. Resident amenities include an outdoor courtyard with city views, a fitness/yoga studio, a social lounge, and a dog wash station. The Harvey is targeting LEED Platinum-certifiable.

Structural Steel Nearly Complete for 100 Hood Park Drive Structural steel work is nearly complete for 100 Hood Park Drive in Charlestown. The project will include 990 parking spaces along with around 75,000 square feet of retail, lab and office space. 100 Hood Park Drive will be the first new parking garage in Charlestown in 30 years.
