1,054-room Omni Hotel coming to Seaport District
Massport has selected Omni Resorts and Hotels and New Boston Hospitality LLC, a conglomerate of real estate firms and investors including The Davis Companies, to develop a 1,054-room hotel on a 2.1-acre parcel located across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District. The new hotel, which will be the largest in the Seaport District and the fourth-largest in Boston and all of Massachusetts, will feature two new 21-story towers and will also include 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, 40,000 square feet of retail space and an 8,500 square foot spa. Construction of the hotel is anticipated to start in summer 2018, with completion expected in early 2021. Omni Resorts and Hotel is the owner and operator of the Omni Parker House hotel in Downtown Crossing. The following are renderings of the Seaport Omni Hotel:
