100+ Affordable Senior Units Planned for Parcel M at Walter Reed
Urban Atlantic has filed plans for a multifamily development on Parcel M at the Park at Walter Reed. The proposed project includes the construction of a three-story plus penthouse building with below grade garage along Dahlia Street directly east of historic Building 1D and the future 13th Street extension. The new building will include a total of 69,054 gross square feet which will result in 102 affordable rental units with associated amenities and 36 below-ground parking spaces. The new building will be an age and income-restricted building for older adults (62+ years). The affordability mix will be consistent with DHCD requirements and the Mayor’s age-friendly DC 2023 Strategic Plan with 30% of the senior units at 30% AMI and 70% at 50% AMI.
