The Blackledge Update 10/27/20

108 Affordable Units Proposed for Easton-Brockton Line

A proposed development that would bring 108 area-affordable units to Easton recently went before the Easton Select Board. The board voted 4-1 to move forward and officially review the development.

Coneco Buildings proposed to build two, three-story colonial-style apartment buildings on the site of a former cement products company. The development would be Chapter 40B - a statute which allows local zoning boards to approve affordable housing developments under flexible rules if at least 20 to 25 percent of the units have long-term affordability restrictions.

Water and sewage hookup for the site would link to Brockton, as part of the site crosses over the city line.
