112 Rantoul Street new mixed-use transit-oriented development in Downtown Beverly, breaks ground


112 Rantoul Street, a new $20 million, 70,000-square-foot mixed-use development located next to the Beverly Depot commuter rail station in Downtown Beverly, has broken ground. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for 112 Rantoul Street this past Wednesday (June 14th, 2017) on the project site, where initial site preparations to construct the six-story building’s foundation have begun. 112 Rantoul Street will feature 67 market-rate apartment residences with approximately 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail/commercial space. Given the building’s location adjacent to a commuter rail station in the heart of Downtown Beverly, no new vehicle parking will be built on site; parking will be available in the station’s existing garage. 112 Rantoul Street’s structural frame will be comprised primarily of wood framing, which will be constructed above a steel podium.
