132 Units Proposed for Bethesda Shopping Plaza Redevelopment
W.C. & A.N. Miller Development Company has filed plans for the redevelopment of the Shops at Sumner Place in Bethesda. The existing 225,000-square-foot retail, restaurant, and office plaza sits on a 13.5-acre site. The developer is proposing to demolish and replace a vacant bank building and surplus surface parking spaces in the northeast portion of the property with up to 132 multi-family dwellings and 20 live/work units plus, amenity open space, and private recreational amenities.
