16-Story Affordable Tower Tops Out in Soundview
General contractor, , has just topped out the concrete superstructure of a 16-story residential tower, going up at 1001 Thieriot Avenue in the Bronx's Soundview neighborhood.
Developed jointly by Xenolith Partners, and ELH Management, the building will be called "Casa Celina". It will contain affordable housing units for seniors and homeless adults. These will be available in studio and one-bedroom configurations.
Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center with an exercise room, a laundry room, lounge spaces on every floor, and a landscaped rooftop terrace. The second floor will also offer 1,700-square-foot of community space, accessible to NYCHA residents and the surrounding community.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet.
