$178M Mixed-Use Project in Deerfield Beach, Fl Gains Voters Approval
Developers have been awaiting the approval of voters to build a mixed-use development on a 3.8 acre city-owned site. The lot is located at 1045 SW 11th Way in Deerfield Beach, Fl. In order to pass, the sale needed the approval of 51% of eligible voters to sell the city-owned property for more than $750,000.
On March 14th, the project gained 58% of voters in favor to sell the land to developers who have offered to pay $6.5 million.
Plans for the site include an eight-story, 120-unit rental apartment building with a seven-story, 60,000-square-foot office building and a four-story, Marriott-branded hotel with 105 rooms. The development also would include two single-story buildings: a 20,000-square-foot event space and a 7,000- square-foot space for stores and restaurants.
