2 Proposals Released for Redevelopment of the Reeves Center

The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development has released presentations detailing the 2 proposed redevelopment plans for the Reeves Center at 2000 14th St. NW. 

Legacy Community Partners, a group led by Dantes Partners and Menkiti Group, hope to create a mixed-use project that would return the neighborhood to the economic viability & cultural vibrance that marked its past. Their plans include 250 apartments, 46 condos, 100,000 square feet of office space, and a 150 room Moxy Hotel.

Reeves CMC Venture, a partnership including CSG Urban Partners & MRP Realty, plans to create a living legacy respectful of the history of the surrounding community, and its significance to Black identity, culture, and enterprise especially its unique position as a heart of the District’s music and arts scene. The proposed 633,000 square foot reimagined Reeves Center LEED-Silver development would include over 110,000 square feet of Class A office space, divided equally between the NAACP and multiple other government and non-government tenants plus 20,000 square feet or retail space, 628 residential units, and 24,000 square feet of arts-related programming.
