27-Story Residential Tower Tops Out in Jersey City
General contractor, AJD Construction, has just topped out a 27-story residential tower, located at 618 Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City. Designed by C3D Architecture, it is one of three buildings being developed by as part of an expansion of the Homestead Place master development.
The building will stand approximately 293 feet tall, and contain 376 residential apartments with a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedroom units. The ground floor will offer 5,500 square feet of retail space, and floors 2 through 4 are set to contain office space.
An expansive walkway will connect each of the new buildings at Homestead Place, providing public outdoor space, retail, and restaurant options. The walkway will also lead to the Journal Square PATH station, giving residents easy access to Midtown Manhattan, and the Financial District. The construction of 618 Pavonia is expected to complete in 2023.
