28-Story Journal Square Dual Tower Proposal Heads to Review
On December 10th, the Jersey City Planning Board will review an application proposing a 28-story, dual-tower, mixed-use building, at 1 Journal Square Plaza (aka 2965 John F. Kennedy Boulevard) in Jersey City's Journal Square neighborhood.
Developed by
, the structure will consist of two, 28-story, towers, connected by a 6-story base and a top-floor amenities bridge. The development will contain
rental apartments, offered in studio and one to three-bedroom configurations.
Plans also call for over 20,000 square feet of tenant amenities, a 50,683 square foot, Extended Stay hotel, spanning floors 3 and 4,
square feet of retail space split between the 1st and 2nd floors, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for
vehicles. The building will further feature a package room and a bicycle storage area.

The
square foot project site sits on the corner of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Cottage Street. A 4-story office building, which currently occupies the site, would have to be demolished if the proposal is approved and the project advances.
