28-Story Mixed-Use Project Breaks Ground in Journal Square
On June 28th, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held at 29 Cottage Street, kicking off construction on a 28-story, mixed-use tower project, set to rise in Jersey City's Journal Square neighborhood.
Developed by , and to be known simply as "The Cottage", the building will contain rental apartments, offered in studio and one to three-bedroom configurations.
Plans also call for square feet of office space, spanning the first 3 floors, as well as square feet of ground-floor retail space. Tenant amenities are to include a sun deck and a swimming pool, a pair of roof decks with a bar, a landscaped outdoor space with movie screening capabilities, and a large bicycle storage area.
Designed by , the tower will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether. The project comes as part of the Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Plan.
