1234 Good Hope Road Update 12/02/22

Three development teams have submitted proposals in response to the city's RFP for 1234 Good Hope Road SE. The currently vacant, roughly 84,000 square foot site  is within walking distance to the Anacostia Metro station and multiple bus stops. The planned 11th Street Bridge Park will provide a direct pedestrian connection across the Anacostia River to The Washington Navy Yard and adjacent Southeast Federal Center.

The Hope Anacostia team is led by Kalel Holdings, LLC Monadnock Development, MANNA, Inc, & Washington Interfaith Network (WIN). Their plans call for a 6-story energy-efficient mixed-use development and 3-story townhomes. The project would include 252 affordable rental units between 30% and 80% AMI and 30 affordable homeownership units.

Anacostia Partners, comprised of Menikiti Group, Frontier Development, and Kadida Development have submitted plans for a mixed-use project to include housing & a hotel component. Their proposal calls for 118 rooms branded as Home2 Suites by Hilton plus 80 affordable units reserved for seniors and 133 affordable units catering to a mix of incomes. The development would also feature 77 for-sale affordable condos.

The Victory Housing proposal from Victory Housing, H2 Design Build, and Bank of America Community Development Company focuses on affordable housing and calls for 54 multifamily affordable units and 70 units of affordable senior housing. There would also be 10 for-sale homeownership townhomes.
