$41M Renovation Project Underway for 100 Year Old Office Property
Marx Realty has announced the start of the $41M renovation project for The Herald building in Washington DC. Marx Realty acquired the 114,000 square foot property in April 2020 for $41.5M and is now planning to reposition the property as DC's first hospitality infused office property. Plans call for an expansive lobby with a striking floor-to-ceiling copper and glass wall. A 40-seat board room and 8,800-square-foot Bouvier Lounge on the ground floor and a fitness center, as well as a European style cafe, will round out a package of hotel-like amenities for tenants.
