44-Unit Development Proposed for Braintree Electric Light Site
Winn Development, in partnership with Needham-based Arch Communities, secured a $1.5 million bid to purchase and redevelop Braintree's Electric Light Department building.
The companies propose to develop 44 residential units on the site utilizing the existing switch house into the design. A second story would be constructed on the switch house for the addition of 12 of the 44 units.
The site is one street over from the East Braintree/Weymouth MBTA Commuter Rail stop, across the Monatiquot River.
