LeClaire Courts Update 08/16/24

$5.5 Million in TIF Approved for LeClaire Courts Redevelopment 

The Community Development Commission has approved $5.5 million in TIF funding for the first phase of the LeClaire Courts, CHA-led redevelopment project. Once complete, the $97 million project will transform the former housing project's 36 acres in Garfield Ridge into a mixed-use community with a total of 725 residential units and 440,000 square feet of retail space. The first-phase is set to begin construction in Spring 2025, and will include two, 6-story, mixed-use buildings with a total of 160 residential units, 16,500 square feet of retail space and 123 parking spaces.
