5.9M SF Dorchester Bay City Now Under Review
Accordia Partners has filed a project notification form for the 5.9M square foot mixed-use project, now dubbed Dorchester Bay City. The project would include 17 development blocks, 10 on the Bayside portion of the site, and 7 on the 2 Morrissey Boulevard site. The buildings would include approximately 1,740 residential units, approximately 155,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, and approximately 4 million square feet of office, research and development, life sciences, and/or academic uses. The Proposed Project also includes substantial public realm and infrastructure improvements, including approximately 20 acres of new, publicly accessible open space and a new street network with vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian accommodations. The parking needs of the Project will be accommodated with approximately 2,650 on-site parking spaces designed to take advantage of spaces that can be shared by different Project uses. Proposed building heights would range from approximately 30 feet to approximately 294 feet. Per the filing, the development team anticipated the project would be built over a 10-15 year period.
