5 Projects Advance in Boston Including 260,000+ SF South End Lab
5 projects featuring over 450,000 SF of floor space and 137 new units have advanced in Boston. Notices of project changes have been approved for the long-stalled 80 East Berkeley Street in the South End as well as 2085 Washington Street in Roxbury and Massport Parcel 6. A notice of project change has been approved for 80 East Berkeley Street in the South End. Among the changes include a shift of the previously included office space to life science and a reduction in SF from 306,000 SF to under 270,000 SF. The project was originally approved for development in 2016.
MPDC and Trinity Financial have won approval for a notice of project change for a third phase of development at 2085 Washington Street in Roxbury. Plans call for 96 residential units across 129,378 SF of floorspace.
Cela Development has won approval to redevelop a historic church in Boston’s South End. Plans call for 9 condominium units at 157 West Springfield Street, the former Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Massport Marine Terminal (MMT) Parcel 6
A notice of project change has been approved for Massport Parcel 6, allowing Pilot Development Partners to expand the completed Boston Sword & Tuna Complex from 48,000 SF to 57,696 SF. The project will reduce parking spaces from 57 to 20.
MG2 Group was granted approval for the redevelopment of a 12,400 SF lot at 279 Maverick Street in East Boston. Plans call for a 5-story development featuring 32 units.
